History
Mother: Watashi Hanima, 42, domestic cleaner.
Father: Watashi Mizuki, 46, hotel assistant manager to the Natsu Sukai in the Nagai town.
Siblings: Two brothers and a sister; Shin [17] is Natsumi's twin while Hikaru [11] and Aimi [5] are her younger siblings.
Short Biography: Natsumi and Shin, being twins, had a close bond for most of their childhood. As Natsumi was far more tom-boy than Shin was feminine it was with Shin's other friends that Natsumi socialised. As the two of them grew Natsumi tended to forget her own gender, as did the boys when it came to the predictable period in their lives where girls were repulsive. Natsumi stayed fast friends with them as she grew up but did become more womanly, in the sense that she made a few female friends and acknowledged her actual gender. The fact that she enjoyed sports and was a tom-boy still stood out in class.
When Natsumi moved into highschool with her brother she was very popular with the boys. This was for two reasons. One was that she was an attractive young girl (when she could be bothered to be) but the other and more dominant reason was to do with the fact that she was approachable and easy to talk to. Natsumi became the go-between between the genders in her class. If a guy liked a girl but wanted to find out what she thought of him, they went to Natsumi. If a girl wanted to confess to a boy they asked Natsumi for the right approach as she was likely to know him. Rather than being annoyed and vindictive over her closeness to the males in the class, girls found the connection a relief. Natsumi was constantly acting in a boyish way and putting off any ideas of romance therefore the other females in the class felt unthreatened.
Natsumi is full of school spirit and has always been the inspiration in her class when it came to sports. What with many of the other girls not liking sports, when it came to female-only competitions Natsumi along with only a few others tended to be the students' hope.
However, Natsumi has, for one thing, never had a boyfriend or closest best friend. This tends to be because she is an immensely strong-willed person who encourages, badgers, pries and pushes people when it comes to something she feels strongly about. An annoying habit which she doesn't know how to put a stop to when she goes over the line. She has been known to piss a lot of people off in the past. She also finds it impossible to notice anyone's embarassment because of her big mouth- as she herself is never embarassed. It tends to be her brother Shin who runs in to save the day and clamps a hand over her mouth when she's too loud. Natsumi is also occassionally criticised for her looks which can be unfeminine. She is sometimes bullied but the verbal comments tend to go straight over her head and she pretends not to notice them.
Natsumi is probably the worst time keeper in the world. One of the reasons she's in such good shape is not because of the sports she plays but the fact that she has to run everywhere she's going because she's always ten minutes late. This has landed her in detention countless times. Natsumi is not generally a clumsy person but when she is always running late her shoe-laces tend to be something she forgets to do-up and she often trips over them.
Natsumi's father is the bread-winner in the house-hold but has always been a family man. He works long hours from early morning but manages to make it home every evening to see his younger and of course older kids off to bed. Her mother is a domestic cleaner who goes from house to house bringing in the extra money her family occassionally need which Shin and Natsumi both work for their own luxuries and school fees/trips. Shin and Natsumi work together taking their younger siblings to school and back while their parents work. Natsumi delivers Aimi and Hikaru in the mornings while Shin picks them up in the afternoon while Natsumi is in sports practice or detention.
Natsumi's interest in sports, starting with her favourite includes: swimming, basketball, tennis, and football. (Swimming and Tennis were sports she picked up herself while basketball and football come from her brother Shin and his friends' hobbies).
Personality: Natsumi is wild, out-spoken, spirited, and hot-headed. She's as likely to get into a fight as any guy and as likely to win as any other 126 pound girl. She likes just about everyone however and only gets into squabbles and scraps if someone is pointedly nasty to others, most other faults in people she tends to overlook, or is just ignorant of. She loves her family fiercely and doesn't seem to care that no-one in the world truly knows a lot about her besides from her twin Shin who she is very close to if not joined to the hip with.
Sample Roleplay
Stupid children! Irritable louthsome bakas!! Natsumi cursed the kids around her silently in her head. She was surprised they couldn't hear her thoughts though considering how loud she was screaming them. Why couldn't they get out of her way? Why did they have to mill around her when she was trying to get somewhere? Having dropped her brother of she had one more sibling to deposit before school. Eventually her and her youngest sister reached the front gates and the outside pavement.
"Come on Aimi..." Natsumi encouraged as the scrambled through the crowd of parents and kids heading for the concrete courtyard of Hikaru's middle school. "We're gonna have to run- come on!" She picked up the pace.
Aimi's run, however, was of course a lot slower than Natsumi. About to cry with frustration Natsumi turned around, scooped her younger sister up into her arms and legged it. She ran down the street at the best speed she could muster with such a heavy bundle. Her bag was swinging against her hip and bouncing painfully. She could feel her bottle of water and lunch box bashing her hip bone. Eyes watering a little Natsumi was completely out of breath by the time they had run down the streets and reached Aimi's first school. Panting heavily she noted the time of the huge clock suspended above the school entrance. Good, Aimi was just in time. But that meant she was late!
Kissing Aimi on the forehead she attempted to get words out throug hher laboured breathing.
"Be good. Onii-chan will be here to pick you up after school. Eat all your lunch and work hard okay?"
Aimi smiled brightly and nodded. Natsumi waved and ran back out of the gate. She turned at the last moment to see Aimi waving back and heard. "Bye-bye Onee-chan." Natsumi waved a final time and sprinted down the road. As soon as she was clear of small children and their parent she untied her rollar-blades from around her bag strap and shoved her shoes into her bag. Seconds later she was whizzing down the concrete pavements, her wheels scraping the sidewalk as she turned a sharp corner and headed for her school. She was going at a tremendous speed but she knew she would be able to stop if she needed to... She hoped.
Screeching her wheels around a second corner she nearly knocked over someone coming out of the grocery store. Ducking under the box they were carrying they wobbled a little but as she looked over her shoulder they righted themselves.
"Gomen nasai!" She called as she crossed a road, avoided a cyclist and came onto Nagai's road. There were still people going inside so she had made it in record time. Skipping in through the gates she was still going at an amazing pace.
"Kyaah!" She called for people to get out of her way as she realised she wouldn't be stopping anytime soon. Reaching out she grabbed a hold of a post by the main door and spun around it. And around and around, until she slowed down enough to be able to plonk her behind down on the ground her bladed feet sticking out each side of the pole. Several people laughed and Natsumi just sat there, blowing upwards to get hair out of her eyes. She was just thankful she'd got there on time and been able to stop. Attempting to get up Natsumi discovered that her suddenly relaxed legs had turned to jelly after so much sudden exercise and she was unable to get to her feet. Just great... After slipping on her wheels twice Natsumi gave up and leant back a little, watching people pass her by. She would get up in a second...
