History
Mother: Kusumi Eun Mi (46)
Strict and snobbish, Eun Mi married young and lived a party lifestyle with her first husband which she now conceals behind a faux-elegant façade. She works as a curator in a small, local art gallery, and dresses smartly all the time, giving off a cold feeling. At first glance, she seems to possess no love for her daughter.
Father: Yoon Ji Hwan (47)
Living in a shabby apartment in South Korea, Eun Hee’s beloved father is the exact opposite of her mother. He is caring and gentle, if a great deal day-dreamy and unrealistic. He is a failing artist and lives off very little.
Siblings: None
Other Significant Relatives: Stepfather Kusumi Takao (51)
The manager of the biggest hotel in the area and its top class restaurant, he is as unfriendly on the outside as Eun Hee’s mother. He is a ruthless business and attempts to buy his stepdaughter’s respect with expensive gifts, as she is his only ‘offspring’ and he uses her at social events as a sort of trophy child.
Short Biography:
Eun Hee was born in Seoul to a young, artsy couple who had met at art-school and married young, living in a roof apartment in the city and doing little other than partying and painting. She was the source of conflict between the two similar personalities that were her parents, and her mother took a sudden change of heart, determined to be a good mum. After two years of dispute after her birth, Eun Hee’s parents divorced and, desperate to escape, her mother took her to Japan to forge a ‘more serious’ career in the only field she knew – art.
Working as a guide in an art gallery, the manager of a large hotel took interest in Eun Mi and they soon married, as she was desperate for money. Being a powerful man, Eun Hee’s stepfather had her mother promoted to gallery curator in the blink of an eye, and the two moved in with him. From then, Eun Hee began to live a more comfortable life as although her home was loveless, she experienced fine foods, good clothes and expensive gifts from a young age, courtesy of her stepfather trying to keep her happy. Spending most of her time in one section of their usually empty house, she grew up to be an independent young girl determined not to rely on either of her parents, as she finds her stepfather an insufferable old man trying to buy love, and her mother an absolute dictator.
Privately tutored in math and economics at home, she began to realise that she was being shaped into the perfect businessman’s daughter, but simultaneously began to gain an understanding of her love of art, in particular photography. Although she would much prefer to live with her father in Korea, he insists that he cannot support her, though that doesn’t stop her traveling to stay with him every holiday, and it was at her childhood home that she discovered her artistic side.
Personality:
Eun Hee is an absolute romantic. She believes in true love more than she believes in anything else, and wants nothing more than to live in her own dramatic love story. She is relatively shy girly-girl who blushes easily and has a characteristic pout. She also has an air of good upbringing about her in her mannerisms and politeness, but this can all be wrecked if her stubborn side is seen, where she can be extremely persistent and annoying in getting something done. However, despite this, in the presence of her mother she is incredibly obedient, always seen and not heard, and is hesitant to display any type of bad behavior or rebelliousness.
Although not naturally intelligent, Eun Hee ranks highly in her year at school due to studying being forced upon her by her stepfather, causing her to excel in maths in particular. However, she has inherited a very day dreamy air from her father, and adores art, music and dance, owning a number of pieces of professional camera equipment and being part of a casual dance troupe outside of school. She adores fashion and popular culture, and is probably the biggest fan of Wonder Girls and SNSD that you will ever meet.
She is an absolute sweetheart, but her naivety and innocence can get the better of her. Although she is very feminine, the moment she knuckles down to some work she instantly appears very geeky, which isn’t helped by her reading glasses, which she insists on being big and black framed in a wayfarer style like something she saw on American TV. She is very gullible, but is very genuine in personality; despite both her mother and stepfather appearing very false, she seems to stay true to herself.
