Short Biography:
For as long as he could remember, his father had always been a workaholic, which meant most of his childhood was spent with either his mother or his grandparents. No one had objections against his large amount of work hours, because the work he did brought in a lot of money to the family. There was an exception of Ryong's grandparents, as they scolded his father every chance they could, which was rarely.
Ryong's father had no talent for taking care of his kids, resulting in the few times they did spend together to be mostly silent. To compensate, his father had always purchased whatever he desired. At the time, these were simply toys or occasional treats from the store. Ryong was spoiled, but shed that habit once he matured a little bit.
The reason for this was because when he matured, he came into realization that no amount of toys or candy you have determine how many friends you have. Instead, Ryong began taking up the sport of basketball. There on the team, he improved himself physically and mentally, while also making real friends. As a "jock" growing up, he was assumed popular by the modern day high school.
Once he reached his third year of highschool, he stopped playing basketball seriously, but only as a way to pass time and win games for his team. He now spends his time mostly on hanging out with his friends, while basketball and work are his second priority.
Personality:
Ryong appears to be a silent person in public, simply observing things happening around him. This act stops once he is around friends, where he begins to talk a lot more. He is easy to talk to, but might seem hostile when approaching him because of the guise he puts on. He is only serious while competing, or if someone has offended himself or one of his close friends.
He is meticulous about what he decides to wear for the day, ensuring that he is dressed as well as possible. Having done this for so long, it has grown into somewhat of a habit.
Sample Roleplay
"Finally.."
Today was the day that his paycheck arrived, which meant that he was free to spend his hard earned money on whatever he wanted. It was only around forty two thousand yen, but he had already planned ahead what he would buy.
Ryong stepped outside his house, a soft wind passing by. From there, he would make his way to one of his fathers alternative cars which he rarely used. He was dressed cleanly in a black suit and tie, with a white dress shirt underneath. It might have been overdressing for simply shopping at the mall, but he believed in keeping consistency with his image.
Once inside the drivers seat, he buckled himself and placed the key into the ignition. The engine roared to life as he turned the key slightly, before letting go of it. Now that he was leaving the house, it would only be roughly thirty minutes before he arrived at his destination.
~ 43 minutes later.
Ryong stepped out of the car, looking ahead to the mall entrance. Feeling slightly annoyed from being delayed in traffic earlier, he let out a sigh to calm himself. Ryong looked into the car window, taking one glance at his reflection before making his way into the mall.
"Tch."
Several people passed by him now that he was standing still, annoyed slightly further by the large amount of people already present. It would be troublesome if he got his suit dirty, which lead to him beginning to walk slightly slower and more carefully towards the desired store.
The jewelery store contained a vast amount of valuable things, but the only thing that captured his interest was the golden watch. The price tag read exactly forty two thousand, which relieved Ryong. Looking carefully, he called on the female representative in order to request it. She read out the price to him, almost stuttering. Smiling at her, he swiped his credit card, and waited patiently for it to go through. Once he did leave, there were several giggles behind him as he left the store. It wasn't an uncommon event for him, but it still seemed to amuse him everytime..
